Thomas gets assist; honor for Leef
JUSTIN A. COHN | The Journal Gazette
Fort Wayne native Jackson Leef, the son of former Komets start Ron Leef, was named Player of the Year in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference. He has 19 goals and 40 points in 26 games. He’s the third player from Westfield State to get the award.
In other news, Kyle Thomas had an assist tonight in the Cleveland Monsters' 5-3 victory over the Milwaukee Admirals. He has one goal, two points and a minus-2 rating in his first nine AHL games. No word on when, or if, he could return to the Komets.
