Uthoff signs multi-year contract with Dallas

Hopes that Jarrod Uthoff would return to the Mad Ants for the regular-season finale and the playoffs were erased today when he signed a multi-year contract with the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks.
Uthoff had just completed his second 10-day contract with the Mavericks. A 23-year-old rookie, he has played five minutes in two games with the Mavericks.
In 11 games with the Mad Ants, who acquired him in a trade with Raptors 905, Uthoff averaged 17.1 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.3 steals.
The Mad Ants play host to Canton on Saturday at Memorial Coliseum. For the Mad Ants to leapfrog Canton for the third of four playoff seeds in the Eastern Conference, they would need the Charge to lose Friday at Grand Rapids, Michigan, and to Fort Wayne.
