Boucher back at North Side

Class 4A boys basketball state runner-up North Side is getting some help for another postseason run next season with junior guard Austin Boucher confirming Thursday he has re-enrolled at the school.

Boucher had been at Saint James School, a prep school in Maryland.

Boucher transferred to North Side from South Side after his sophomore year, but was denied full eligibility by the IHSAA despite filing an appeal. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 24.4 points, 4.5 assists and 2 steals for the Archers last year.

The Legends fell to Ben Davis 55-52 last Saturday in the 4A title game at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. North Side will be losing seniors Jaylen Butz, Elijah Holmes, Devontae Kinnie, Carlos O'Brien and Juan Quarles.
