Durane Harris rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown, a 15-yard, fourth-quarter score that sealed Carroll’s 14-6 upset over visiting Class 3A No. 2 Norwell in an NHC game Friday.
The Knights had an 11-game regular-season winning streak snapped.
Carroll passed only six times in the game, but one produced a 6-yard touchdown. Justin Minnich connected with Justin Ashley for the first-quarter score.
Norwell responded on Rhett Goodmiller’s 2-yard touchdown run to pull within 7-6.
But the offense sputtered from there.
On their final five possessions, the Knights managed only 35 yards, turned the ball over on downs twice, punted and lost two fumbles.
The Chargers weren’t perfect either, losing three fumbles and throwing an interception, but Harris’ big day was enough. He carried 26 times and his rushing total included a long of 43 yards.
Goodmiller topped Norwell with 95 yards on 22 carries.
SNIDER 49, NORTHROP 0: Brent Bostic rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns to spur the Panthers’ rout in a SAC home game at Spuller Stadium.
Bostic had 10 of his team-high 25 carries on Snider’s first two drives, both of which resulted in Boston 1-yard TD runs. He added another touchdown from 4 yards out in the second quarter, and the Panthers led 35-0 at halftime.
The Panthers dominated on the ground, churning out 332 rushing yards, more than Northrop managed in total offense (235).
CONCORDIA 56, WAYNE 26: The visiting Cadetsshowed balanced production on offense, and it spurred an SAC victory.

HARDING 50, ELMHURST 14: Rod Smith’s 245 yards rushing keyed the offense, but the Hawks also got help on special teams and defense in their road win.

Harding’s Marquelo Suel caught six passes, two for touchdowns, and had 140 yards receiving. Smith carried 31 times and had two touchdowns.
