Former Notre Dame guard Ty Proffitt has found a home at Morehead State in Kentucky, the Courier-Journal is reporting.
Proffitt transferred from Notre Dame last week in search of more playing time, something not available to him with the Irish potentially until his senior year.
"I am very excited about the opportunity to play for Coach Tyndall and be at Morehead State," Proffitt said in a statement on the school's Web site. "I have followed the program closely since Coach Tyndall has taken over and believe it is a program on the rise. I hope that I can contribute and help to build on the success that the team and Coach Tyndall have already had.
"Being at MSU puts me closer to home so my family and friends can watch me play as well. I can't wait to get on the floor this week for workouts and get started as an Eagle."
Proffitt will not be eligible to play until the 2009-10 season.
