No halftime statistics yet, but his is the most important one for Notre Dame: Zero. As in points.
Not good for the Irish.
Shades of 2007 -- at least in the running game. It would seem the Irish are incapable of running against Michigan State, which allowed 137.3 yards per game entering Saturday.
Currently, Notre Dame has eight non-Golden Tate rushing yards.
Defensively, the Irish have struggled a bit with Javon Ringer, but also are spotty against the pass. Raeshon McNeil made a couple nice defensive plays against the pass, but so far, an uninspired effort from Notre Dame.
So far, Tate has accounted for 72.9 percent of Notre Dame's offensive yardage (24 receiving, 57 passing), 81 of 111 total yards.
Anyway, not good for Notre Dame. Not good at all.
