For the first time this season and only the second time since Oct. 13, 2007, Notre Dame scored in the third quarter.
Actually, the Irish did it three times.
Armando Allen ran for 16 yards and a score, part of what has already become a career high day for the sophomore with 129 yards. Then, Jimmy Clausen found Kyle Rudolph for a five-yard score and Clausen hit David Grimes on a fourth-down conversion from 30 yards out for another touchdown.
Notre Dame leads, 35-21.
The two teams have combined for 351 total yards in the quarter and Michael Floyd surpassed 100 yards -- actually 100 exactly -- receiving in the game.
