Zeke Motta Commits

Notre Dame picked up its 16th non-binding oral commitment for the Class of 2009 on Thursday when Zeke Motta, a linebacker from Vero Beach, Fla., chose the Irish according to Scout.com.

Motta, a U.S. Army All American, picked Notre Dame over Florida, Boston College and Auburn. He is rated a four-star prospect by Scout.com and Rivals.com.

Irish Illustrated.com is reporting Motta called Notre Dame this afternoon. He visited South Bend this weekend for the Irish's win over Stanford.

The Journal Gazette's Assistant Sports Editor Tony Krausz covers The University of Notre Dame. Krausz, a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism and a native of St. Louis, has been assistant sports editor since October 2005. Prior to joining the JG, he worked at two papers in Mississippi covering high school and college athletics.
