3 charged with possessing meth ingredients
Three Kosciusko County men have been arrested and charged with possessing ingredients used to make methamphetamine, the county sheriff's department said Monday.
In a written statement, the department said a Warsaw city patrolman arrested Russell Keith Hardy, 39, of Warsaw, after receiving information from an off-duty Winona Lake officer that Hardy had purchased various meth precursors at the Lowe's store in Warsaw.
Drug Task Force officers were called to the scene and drove with Hardy to the Wal-Mart in Warsaw, where he picked up two passengers also buying meth precursors, the statement said.
It said Derek Goodsell, 19, of Milford, who the statement said is Hardy's son, and Stephen Lederwood, 19, of North Webster were arrested in the Wal-Mart parking lot without incident.
All three suspects have been charged with possession of a precursor; Goodsell also had an outstanding Kosciusko County warrant alleging failure to appear. Hardy's bond was set at $5,000, Goodsell's at $50,750 and Ledgerwood's at $50,000.
