Brenda and Jeff Gallmeyer

Roanoke mom buys $125,000 winning ticket

With two children in college and a third planning to follow in their footsteps, Brenda and Jeff Gallmeyer of Roanoke know where most of the money coming from a winning Hoosier Lottery ticket is going.

“It’s an unexpected gift, a true blessing,” Brenda Gallmeyer, said in a written statement issued by the lottery about their $125,000 top prize on the $5 Fat Wallet scratch-off game

The two said the money will help their children graduate from college without debt, adding that the family might replace one car and take a small vacation.

Brenda Gallmeyer works for a small publishing company and her husband is an engineer.

She bought the ticket from Sparky Mart at 8984 N. U.S. 24 East in Roanoke.
