Indiana forward Hanner Mosquera-Perea was arrested and charged with two Class A misdemeanors, according to a spokesman at Monroe County Jail.
Mosquera-Perea was booked at 4:45 a.m. Friday on charges of operating while intoxicated endangerment and operating with a blood alcohol content about .15, according to Monroe County Jail.
"I was just made aware of it this morning at about 8:15 a.m. That was the first I had heard of it," coach Tom Crean said during a teleconference Friday. "We are aware of it. We are in the process of getting more information and it is a disappointing shock to all of us, but at the same time we are waiting to learn more about it."
The 6-foot-9, 225-pound Mosquera-Perea is averaging 2.9 points and 2.3 rebounds this season.
The Hoosiers will play at Purdue at 4 p.m. Saturday. Crean did not have an update on Mosquera-Perea's status for the game.
