TOLEDO, Ohio – Police and school officials said a school bus in northwest Ohio hit a high school student while the boy was in a crosswalk.
Toledo Public Schools spokeswoman Patty Mazur said the student was taken to a hospital Thursday morning with minor injuries. The bus driver was not hurt.
Toledo Police said the driver was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
Mazur said the accident happened shortly after 8 a.m. at an intersectiion near Woodward High School. The teen’s name and age were not immediately available.
Mazur said the school will conduct an internal investigation before determining whether any disciplinary action will be taken against the driver.
