City marks 100th lead-safe home

The city of Fort Wayne recently completed rehabilitation of its 100th home with lead problems under a $1.9 million federal grant. The city expects to complete 50 more lead-safe homes with an average of $8,000 to $12,000 invested in each home.

Holiday tree lights Broadway tonight

The Broadway Plaza tree lighting begins at 5:45 p.m. today and includes a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, reindeer and the Polar Express Holiday Train. The plaza is in front of Shine & Hardin law offices at 2810 Beaver Ave., where it meets Broadway.
