Allen, Wells set flu vaccine clinics

Local health departments have scheduled additional flu vaccination clinics for the coming weeks.

•The Fort Wayne-Allen County Department of Health will conduct clinics from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Carew Medical Park, 1818 Carew St.

Only the injection form of the H1N1 vaccine will be provided at either clinic. Those eligible for the injection vaccine are pregnant women; ages 2 to 24; ages 25 to 64 with chronic health conditions; health care and emergency medical workers; and caregivers of infants younger than 6 months.

Seasonal flu vaccine will also be available for ages 6 months to 18 years.

•Wells County will have an H1N1 vaccination clinic from 2 to 6 p.m. Dec. 4 at New Hope Lutheran Church, 8824 N. Indiana 1, Ossian.

Vaccine will be provided to pregnant women; ages 2 to 24; ages 25 to 64 with chronic health conditions; and caregivers of infants younger than 6 months.

The county will post which vaccine types will be offered on its Web site as the clinic date nears.
