Local residents needing health insurance can learn whether they qualify and get help applying for state coverage at the Healthy Indiana Plan Information Fair planned for Thursday.

The fair will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at Fairfield Elementary, 2825 Fairfield Ave. Attendees should park in the Hoagland Avenue lot and use that entrance.

Spanish and Burmese interpreters will be available.

Those planning to apply for health insurance must provide a Social Security number, ID and proof of U.S. citizenship or immigration status for each adult or child needing coverage, along with other materials.

For a full list of needed materials go to www.stjoehospital.com and click the health information fair link under “Hospital Happenings.” For more on the Healthy Indiana Plan visit www.in.gov/fssa/hip/.
