  • Post-Christmas shopping helps sales
A flurry of post-Christmas shopping helped sales surge in the last week of December, according to a mall trade group’s report released Wednesday. Increased gift card use, mild weather and a federal holiday on Monday all contributed.
  • I’ll be back

Random You Tube clips

What better way to say "I love you" than to give you a handful of ridiculous You Tube clips that may quite possibly rot your brain. Beginning with ...

Ricky Gervais and Elmo. An interview with comedy genius (Yeah… I said it …) Ricky Gervais and annoying Muppet, Elmo. This clip is like the "real Elmo" revealed. He yells at the interviewer! He can't stop laughing! He and Gervais have a short conversation about necrophilia! Honestly, this clip has been the highlight of my day.

Dating on demand. This is old, but worth another viewing on a Friday night. It's an unintentionally hilarious "Dating on Demand" video, featuring a woman who at one point says, "If romance was like food? I'm a glutton because I'm always hungry. And I'm hungry right now! I love to eat!"

Pop Idol losers sing "Simply The Best" un-ironically. To get you motivated, here are a bunch of rejects from the British version of "American Idol," singing "Simply The Best." And it is. Happy weekend!

(P.S. A dog dancing to Turkish music, courtesy of my boss -- who can't stop laughing about it. "Not entertainment related," she says. "Other than it's entertaining.")
