Bondsman charged in residential entry

A LaGrange County bondsman was released on his own recognizance Friday after he turned himself in on residential entry and battery charges.

Lester E. Alligood, 71, of Rome City, was charged after he pushed his way into a LaGrange County home earlier this month, police said.

On March 1, Alligood knocked at the door of a home in Van Buren Township in LaGrange County, looking for a man.

A woman answered the door and told Alligood the man was not in the home.

Alligood then pushed his way into the house, and when he didn’t find the man there, he apologized and left, police said.
