A Rome City man is accused of holding his girlfriend against her will, manufacturing methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of marijuana.
The Noble County Sheriff's Department reported Monday that Timothy Thornsberry, 34, was being held in the county jail after deputies were called to the 100 block of Westin Street by someone claiming that a woman was being confined.
Officers first went to the apartment Sunday and were not able to determine whether someone was inside. After getting a search warrant, they forced entry and found the woman and Thornsberry, the report said.
The sheriff's department said there was an active one-pot meth lab in the house, as well as a small amount of marijuana.
Thornsberry was being held without bond.
