Shanna Moakler, Miss USA in 1995, has resigned as executive director of the Miss California USA pageant, a day after Carrie Prejean was allowed to keep her crown.

Moakler said that she no longer believes in the organization.

She had angrily accused Prejean on Monday of violating the contract she signed with pageant organizers by speaking out repeatedly on behalf of organizations opposed to gay marriage and by failing to disclose she had posed nearly nude for photographs as a teen.

Pageant owner Donald Trump said Tuesday that Prejean will remain Miss Calfornia.

Fashion advice sent

Catherine Masters had always wanted to meet a member of Britain’s royal family. She finally got the chance at age 109.

When Prince William made a surprise visit to Masters’ nursing home near Oxford, England, she gave him a fashion tip for his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II: Masters doesn’t think each royal birthday card she’s received since turning 100 should picture her royal highness in the same yellow dress. “I think either a blue one or white one would be nice,” she said.

TV stars hurting

Reality TV couple Jon and Kate Gosselin took more pounding in the media Wednesday.

Us Weekly described an over-friendly relationship between Kate and her married bodyguard that “caught the attention of her husband, Jon – and has become the talk of many locals” in their Pennsylvania community.

People magazine quoted Kate Gosselin as saying, “I don’t know that we’re in the same place anymore, that we want the same thing. I’ve been struggling with the question of ‘who is this person?’ for a while.”
