Biker critically injured in LaGrange

A man was critically injured Saturday in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in LaGrange County, according to sheriff’s deputies.

Deputies were called to the scene of the crash, at Foxwood Hills Campground in northwest LaGrange County, just after 3 p.m.

Curtis J. Pietrzak, 54, of Middleburg, was driving his 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle on a private drive when he traveled off the road, deputies said.

Pietrzak, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from his motorcycle. He was taken by medical helicopter to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Pietrzak was listed in critical condition Sunday.

The crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed pending test results, deputies said.
