Verbatim: Arlington Elementary authors to sign books

Statement issued Friday by Fort Wayne Community Schools:

A group of Arlington Elementary School students wrote a book that has been published. The book, titled "Sunnier Days, Advice from 5th Graders," contains short essays about problems the students have experienced with helpful tips on how to handle them, such as what to do if your parents fight or how to deal with siblings. The book was published with the support from a Youth as Resources grant and several community donors. It is available for purchase at Barnes and Noble and through Amazon.com.

The students will hold a book signing at the school on June 2 from 9 – 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 – 1 p.m.

At that time books will be available for sale for $8. There will also be a book signing at Barnes and Noble bookstore at Glenbrook Square on June 2 from 4 – 6 p.m.
