After receiving a dose of tranquilizer from a dart fired by Luke Ellsberry of the Wyoming Game and Fish, a mountain lion slowly relaxes on his perch Sunday.

A neighbor spotted the cat in Powell, Wyo., as she was watering flowers in her yard and raised the alarm.

Meanwhile this week, a neighbors in Wausau, Wis., found a bear high in a tree.

Rather than shooting it down or using a tranquilizer, wildlife officials simply waited for the bear to come down before sedating it and releasing in a wilder area.
