Culvert work to close DeKalb road

The Indiana Department of Transportation will close Indiana 427 about five miles northeast of U.S. 6 in DeKalb County to replace a culvert pipe and county tile.

Work is expected to start June 22 with the road reopened by June 26.

The official detour is U.S. 6 to Indiana 1; this adds 7.5 miles for through traffic.

The work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather.
