Christ Academy

Koehneke retiring

The Rev. Richard M. Koehneke, a senior pastor at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Ave., will retire July 31 after serving 38 years in the pastoral ministry. His last sermon at the church will be this weekend, with a congregation dinner to be held in his honor on Sunday.

Mother’s Day Out, a program at Faith Baptist Church, 6600 Trier Road, is accepting registrations for summer enrollment for children kindergarten age and younger. For information regarding dates and fees, call 485-1646 before Wednesday.

Sesquicentennial

St. Aloysius Church, Yoder, will observe its 150th anniversary June 20 and 21. Events include a polka and square dance with music by Die Freudemacher German band from 7 to 10 p.m. June 20. Mass will be celebrated with Bishop John D’Arcy at 11 a.m. June 21.
