Housing business goes green

Manufactured Housing Enterprises Inc. of Bryan, Ohio, a maker of modular and manufactured housing, has joined the ranks of green builders.

The company recently achieved certification in green building from the National Association of Home Builders and became the first facility in the nation to be certified to provide manufactured and modular homes that meet the green standards of the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Last month, the company also became a partner with the Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star program that certifies homes for energy efficiency.

Started in 1965, the company is the largest manufacturer of modular and manufactured housing in Ohio.
