If you have a monster appetite, two new eateries are ready to serve with hefty portions.

•Friends Too, 3720 W. Jefferson Blvd., has opened between Subway and Chevvy’s in the former Arby’s spot. The menu features Greek specialties, including spanakopita (spinach pie), moussaka (eggplant) and gyros, plus burgers, other types of sandwiches and salads. Breakfast is available until 3 p.m.

Hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays. For more information, call 755-0894. It’s a sister restaurant to Friends, 1824 W. Dupont Road.

•Boasting half-pound Angus burgers that require two hands, Monster Burger is expected to open this week in the Jefferson Pointe food court, next to Auntie Anne’s. The burgers are made to order (cheddar and bacon optional). Junior burgers, hot dogs and chili dogs, chicken strips, nachos and fries (plain, chili, cheese) are on the menu, too.

Moroccan night at Hartley’s

Chefs Pamela Downs and Lisa Williams will prepare a Moroccan feast Monday at Hartley’s, 4301 Fairfield Ave.

The menu features a selection of savory salads and appetizer bites, shrimp with sweet-hot tomato jam, grilled eggplant with caramelized onions, chicken with lemon and olives, vegetable couscous and a Casablanca date roll with almond cream.

Cocktails, including watermelon and rose-water martinis, are $5.

The dinner is available from 7 to 9 p.m. It’s $30 (which doesn’t include tax or gratuity). Reservations are necessary; call 744-3141.

For tickets, call 260-636-7383 or pick them up at the park, 1426 W. Noble County Road 300 N. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. You must be 21 with ID to attend this event.

Pizza on the farm

Using local ingredients, Hawkins Family Farm in North Manchester is making and selling pizza every Friday night this summer.

The 16-inch artisan pizzas are baked in an outdoor, wood-fired brick oven built by volunteers. They will be available from 5 to 9 p.m. in carryout boxes.

Prices are $24 to $27 (cash or check only).

You can also stay and dine picnic-style on the farm – but you must bring your own beverages, plates, napkins and blankets. Diners must remove all their garbage when they leave.

All profits benefit HOPE CSA, a non-profit teaching ministry.

The farm is at 10373 N. Wabash County Road 300 E.
