Tip leads to meth lab arrests

Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers arrested two people Tuesday in the Atwood area, accused of manufacturing meth.

Officers received an anonymous tip about a site near County Road 600 West and County Road 100 North that was being used for methamphetamine production.

Officers set up surveillance Tuesday on an abandoned shed and report seeing a man and woman arrive and begin the production stages of a methamphetamine lab.

Officers have preliminarily arrested the following suspects on a charge of manufacturing/dealing methamphetamine:

  • John Thomas Geberin, 41, with bond set at $10,000.
  • Leann Janelle Laughlin, 42, with bond set at $10,000.
They live in the 500 block of East High Street in Etna Green.

Task force officers were assisted by officers from the Warsaw Police Department and the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
