Fla. car dealership workers return $40K in cash

– Two employees who found $40,000 in cash at a Florida car dealership have made their boss proud: Instead of keeping the money, they turned it in. The Orlando Sentinel reports it was in a small box that someone left at Central Florida Toyota on Monday. Two employees in the parts department noticed it but assumed someone would come back to get it. When it was still there Tuesday, they opened it and found the cash.

The dealership's general manager said he was surprised that someone would carry that much money and leave it on a public display counter. He also said he was proud to have such honest employees.

The money remained Thursday at the Orange County Sheriff's Office waiting to be claimed. Deputies are reviewing security video from the dealership.
