R. O’Donnell

Rosie O’Donnell is returning to the airwaves.

The ex-talk show queen will host a daily radio show for Sirius XM Radio Inc. this fall. “Rosie Radio” will feature the comedian-actress discussing news and entertainment as well as chatting with occasional guests.

O’Donnell, 47, said she was approached after she appeared on Howard Stern’s radio show.

“He’s been very encouraging,” O’Donnell said of Stern.

O’Donnell, who left “The View” in 2007 after one tumultuous season, will broadcast her two-hour call-in show from a studio being built inside the guesthouse on her New York property, where she raises four children with partner Kelli Carpenter.

Fawcett tribute set

NBC has changed today’s TV lineup to honor Farrah Fawcett, who died Thursday of cancer at age 62.

At 9 p.m., the network will rebroadcast “Farrah’s Story,” a two-hour documentary about Fawcett’s battle with cancer that originally aired last month.

Star’s in-law pleads

Dane Cook’s sister-in-law pleaded not guilty to charges she helped her husband steal millions of dollars from the comedian.

Erika McCauley was arraigned Thursday and ordered held on $1 million bail.

Darryl McCauley, Cook’s half-brother and McCauley’s husband, pleaded not guilty in March to larceny and forgery.

Authorities say state police found $700,000 hidden in the McCauleys’ homes in Wilmington, Mass., and York Beach, Maine. State police found $900,000 in December.

Prosecutors say Darryl McCauley stole money while working for Cook’s company, Great Dane Enterprises.

Daughter in court

The estranged daughter of actor Billy Bob Thornton has been indicted on several charges in the death of a 1-year-old girl she was baby-sitting in central Florida.

Amanda Brumfield, 29, was booked at the Orange County Jail on Wednesday. She faces charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of a child.

Court records show she told investigators the infant who died in her care in October acted normally after she fell from a playpen and hit her head. But detectives believe Brumfield’s story is inconsistent with the girl’s injuries.

Thornton’s publicist said the actor hasn’t spoken to Brumfield for several years.

Kids’ book colorful

Dolly Parton created a charity 13 years ago to provide books to children and encourage literacy. Now her first children’s book, “I Am a Rainbow,” will be featured in the philanthropy.

Parton, 63, says working on projects for children gives her a chance to play and live a second childhood.

The book she wrote describes how colors can be used to explain emotions children have. Parton had no say in the book’s selection for her charity, Imagination Library. A committee of teachers, child-development experts and parents picks the books supplied to 1,000 communities in 47 states.

Welcome to ‘Miami’

The “CSI: Miami” team is welcoming a new member.

Former “Third Watch” star Eddie Cibrian will be a regular for its eighth season this fall. He’ll play an officer from Hollywood, Fla., who joins the CSI team in Miami.

What he won’t be, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is a replacement for Adam Rodriguez’s Eric Delko, whose fate was uncertain after a season-finale cliffhanger. The show’s producers tell the paper that Rodriguez will be back next season.

Cibrian recently starred in the Lifetime movie “Northern Lights” opposite LeAnn Rimes – which led to rumors (that he and Rimes denied) that the two were having an affair.

Show ‘right thing’

Former Illinois first lady Patti Blagojevich said her time on NBC’s reality show “I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!” was a much-appreciated diversion from her family’s troubles that await her.

She said making new friends on the show helped restore her faith in people. Her closest friend seemed to be former NBA pro John Salley.

“It turned out to be the right thing at the right time for me,” Blagojevich said of the show, filmed in the Costa Rican jungle, during which she said she lost 12 pounds eating mainly rice and beans.

When Blagojevich returns to real life in Chicago, she’ll deal with the legal problems of her husband, ousted former Gov. Rod Blagojevich. Bounced out of office by lawmakers, he faces federal corruption charges for trying to sell the U.S. Senate seat once held by President Obama.
