Hugh Jackman, Seth Rogen and Oscar nominee Anne Hathaway have been invited into the Hollywood club that votes on the Academy Awards.

They are among the 134 people asked to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Others are Taraji P. Henson, Amy Ryan, Melissa Leo, Casey Affleck, Viola Davis, Michelle Williams, James Franco, Paul Rudd, Emily Blunt, Emile Hirsch, Jeffrey Wright and Michael Cera.

The academy has about 6,000 voting members.

‘Thriller’ nights

People are clamoring to see Michael Jackson’s old videos in the wake of his death – especially “Thriller.”

On Tuesday, Web video research firm Visible Measures said Jackson’s most famous music video has been watched more than 8.5 million times online since his death Thursday.

Visible Measures also factored in other versions of “Thriller,” including the dance video produced by Filipino prisoners.

Jilted ex engaged

When “The Bachelor” winner Melissa Rycroft got jilted for the runner-up five months ago, she returned the engagement ring. Now, Rycroft, 26, has another sparkler – and a fiancé, Tye Strickland.

Her spokeswoman, Susan Madore, says Strickland, 28, is an insurance agent who has dated Rycroft for 2 1/2 years.

Madore said he proposed to the ex-Dallas Cowboys cheerleader privately Friday.

New ‘housewife’ set

Ex-“Sopranos” star Drea de Matteo will join “Desperate Housewives” for the ABC show’s sixth season, publicist Aime Wolfe said. EW.com reported that De Matteo will portray an Italian matriarch whose husband is a landscape designer.

De Matteo is engaged to singer Shooter Jennings, with whom she has a daughter, Alabama, 18 months.
