The Fort Wayne TinCaps are getting in the mood to celebrate.
The team announced Thursday the start time of their game on Sunday, July 19th, originally scheduled at 5:05 p.m., has moved to 6:05pm.
The Three Rivers Festival Fireworks is scheduled to begin that night at 10.
"This new, later start time will provide a much better flow to the night’s activities," said Mike Nutter, Fort Wayne TinCaps Team President said in a statement. "We expect the ballgame to end between 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Fans are still invited to take part in our usual Sunday, post-game events like Run the Bases and Player Autographs before the fireworks. We also will have live music on the centerfield amphitheater between the end of the game up to the start of the Three Rivers Festival fireworks show at 10 p.m."
All tickets currently printed for the Sunday, July 19th game are valid for the new start time of 6:05 p.m. The gates to Parkview Field will open 90 minutes prior to game time at 4:35 p.m. Only fans with a ticket to the TinCaps game will be allowed inside Parkview Field during the night of the fireworks finale.
