Motorcyclist critically hurt on north side

A motorcyclist was in critical condition late Thursday after he crashed on the city’s north side.

The man was eastbound on Cook Road, just west of Hanauer Road, when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle. A passing motorist found the man and called police about 10:40 p.m.

No one saw the crash, and investigators were still trying to piece together what happened late Thursday, police spokesman officer John Chambers said.

The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
