Rainy weather forced officials to postpone at least four local fireworks shows Saturday night.

Fireworks in Bluffton, Huntington, North Manchester and Wabash have been pushed back to today.

Bluffton Mayor Ted Ellis said he made the call about 5 p.m. to cancel Saturday’s show, three hours before the Outlaw Cowboys were scheduled to perform at Bluffton-Harrison Middle School.

“It costs a lost of money to put on the fireworks. There’s no sense having everybody stand out in the rain, mud and mosquitoes,” Wabash Mayor Robert Vanlandingham said.

In all the communities, the schedules will be the same, just moved 24 hours forward. Auburn already had scheduled a celebration for today.

Today’s fireworks schedule is:

Auburn – Dusk at Kruse Auction Park, off Interstate 69 at DeKalb County Road 11-A. This event was already scheduled for today.

Bluffton – Outlaw Cowboys perform at 8 p.m. and fireworks start at 10 p.m. at Bluffton-Harrison Middle School

Huntington – Dusk at Huntington North High School

North Manchester – Manchester Civic Band performs at 8:30 p.m., welcome and poems at 9 p.m. and fireworks at 10 p.m. at the Manchester College athletic fields

Wabash – Dusk at Field of Dreams sports complex along Indiana 13 north of downtown
