Washington has yet to play a game in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas this week yet one former Notre Dame player already won't make the trip. Ryan Ayers, the swingman and son of former Wizards assistant Randy Ayers, was one of four players cut by Washington on Sunday evening according to Michael Lee of the Washington Post.
Ayers, James Lang, Dwayne Anderson and Diamon Simpson were the four players released by the Wizards. The Blue Bell, Pa., native averaged 11.1 points and 42.9 percent from the three-point line in his senior season at Notre Dame. His departure -- barring a late pickup from another team -- leaves three former Irish players in Vegas: Luke Zeller (Bulls), Kyle McAlarney (Clippers) and Rob Kurz (Minnesota)
