The Williams County Sheriff's Department is looking into fuel theft at Edon Farmers Co-op reported Tuesday morning.

A written statement from the department said someone got into the fuel storage tanks at 10226 Country Road 5 in Edon, Ohio, and took 550 gallons of fuel from three tanks.

The loss was estimated at $1,390 and damage at $50 to $100.

Another report came in Tuesday morning from the Northwest Township Maintenance Building, 15180 Ohio 49, Edon, that someone cut the padlocks off two fuel tanks.

The tanks were already empty and nothing was taken.

The damage estimate is $30.

Both remain under investigation, the statement said.
