Letter (Web version): Liberal media criticize Palin because they fear her

Recently, the New York Times has provided major space in its liberal newspaper attempting to form the image of Sarah Palin as insignificant. If it is correct in that observation, then why should the New York Times and other major liberal newspapers and media outlets provide space to slam Palin on many different issues? One of the most used attacks is that she has little experience in government leadership. Well, look at our current president and the experience he had in the executive area of government – none. Did you hear anything about his total inexperience and on-the-job training? No. Nothing.

The real reason the liberal media are slamming Palin is because they shudder in their shoes at the charisma and power she possesses in America. Recently, Vice President Joe Biden visited a city, and it was reported that 168 people attended his meeting. In the same city, Palin drew more than 40,000 people. When Sen. Saxby Chambliss ran for his United States Senate seat in a special run-off election, John McCain traveled with him for a day. The crowds were 1,250 to 2,700 people. Later, he had Gov. Palin travel to Georgia to help him for a day. The crowds were 20,000 to 38,000 at each stop. Chambliss later stated that because of Palin, he easily won the election. This is why the liberal media fears Palin.

They fear that Palin will become our Margaret Thatcher. Her message of lower taxes, incentives for all corporations and the working people, and her faith in the American people and not government scares them to their wit’s end. She believes you can’t continue raising taxes on the working people to pay the people who don’t want to work if you want the free enterprise system in America to succeed. She believes the best government is local government, not all power centered in Washington.

Yes, the liberal media are shuttering because she will be writing a book that will be an instant best-seller. She will help conservatives take back control of Congress and our government in Washington. She has the power to lead and unite the conservative base. Hundreds of conservative-minded people will be elected across America, from township trustees, county sheriffs, small-town mayors to state legislators. Governors, congressmen and senators will be elected next year because Palin will be free to travel across America with a message that inspires the American people.

The nation awaits Palin and her message. May she lift our spirits and elevate our government to work for us, instead of us working for them. America desperately needs Palin at a higher calling to communicate the conservative message of freedom, optimism and opportunity.
