Children’s concert

The African Children’s Choir will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph United Methodist Church, 6004 Reed Road. A free-will offering will be accepted.

Pastoral installation

A pastoral installation for Michael A. Griffin will be held at 10:45 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1151 Francis St.

Saturday service

Monson Chapel United Methodist Church, 12220 Lower Huntington Road, will hold a service at 6:30 p.m. July 25 instead of its normally scheduled service July 26.

Special events

“Back to School Blessings,” a service of special prayers for all school personnel and students, will take place at 8:30, 9:45 and 11 a.m. Aug. 2 at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Highway E., New Haven. Free school supplies will be given to all students.

“Bad Women of the Bible” will be presented at 6 p.m. July 25 at Turner Chapel AME Church, 836 E. Jefferson Blvd.
