Ex-boyfriend held after armed rape

Police arrested a Fort Wayne man Thursday on charges that he broke into an ex-girlfriend’s home earlier in the week, threatened her with a knife and raped her in front of a 3-year-old girl.

Chad Allen Reuille, 31, of the 7100 block of Antebellum Boulevard, entered the woman’s home early Tuesday, threatened her with a knife, rubbing it against her and telling her what he was about to do was her fault, a probable cause affidavit said.

Reuille “poked” the woman several times with the knife, including in the arms, fingers and the back of her head and threatened to kill her. He then raped her despite her pleas to stop. At one point, the child woke up and told him to stop, as well, the documents said.

The woman has a protective order against Reuille, which he has previously been convicted of violating four times.

He faces preliminary charges of rape, criminal recklessness, battery, burglary, invasion of privacy and intimidation and was being held in lieu of $60,000 bail.
