Nominations open for ‘Rudy Award’

Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger, whose story of determination to play at Notre Dame inspired the film "Rudy", is in search of The Most Inspirational High School Football Player.

Trusted Sports, Inc. and co-founder Ruettiger will present $20,000 in college scholarships to the three finalists in the nation.

The High School Football Rudy Awards will honor high school football players who exemplify the values of Ruettiger. The winner will receive a $10,000 academic college scholarship to the college of his choice and will be named "The Most Inspirational Football Player in America." The two runners-up will each receive $5,000 academic scholarships.

The award honors student-athletes who demonstrate character, courage, contribution and commitment as members of their high school football team.

Nominations are being accepted at www.HighSchoolRudyAwards.com. Nominations close Nov. 30.
