A Muncie man is being held on $102,000 bond after the Kosciusko City-County SWAT team arrested him in Winona Lake Wednesday night, the county sheriff's department said today.
Bradley Robert Coleman, 25, was taken into custody short after 5 p.m. at a Winona Lake home and arrested on an outstanding Kosciusko County warrant charging resisting law enforcement, police said in a statement.
Coleman had been released from the Indiana Department of Corrections in July after serving two years on an armed robbery sentence from Kosciusko County, the statement said. It said he was found to already have an outstanding resisting law enforcement warrant from Warsaw Police.
Winona Lake police officer Joe Bumbaugh made a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon and learned Coleman was located inside a home on Mineral Springs Avenue, the statement said.
It said the Kosciusko City-County SWAT team went to the home and secured the perimeter with canine units and officers from the Warsaw and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department. SWAT team members entered the home and found Coleman hiding inside a closet, the statement said.
Coleman was arrested on the original active warrant and was additionally arrested on a second resisting law enforcement charge by Winona Lake Police.
