Day of Prayer

The 1956 Our Lady of America apparitions in Rome City will be commemorated with a Day of Prayer and Healing

at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the main chapel at Sylvan Springs, Rome City. Historical tours will begin at noon. Admission is free. The event is organized by Our Lady the Immaculate Virgin. For information, call 260-854-3525 or go to www.oltiv.org.

Miss America visits

Miss America 2009 Katie Stam, a native of Seymour and member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, will speak at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Concordia Theological Seminary, 6600 N. Clinton St., and at 7:30 p.m. in Sihler Auditorium.

Series/workshop

“Live Like You Were Dying,” a four-week study, will be presented Sundays beginning this Sunday at Sonrise Church, 10125 Illinois Road. For information, call 469-3700.

Grace Episcopal Church, 10010 Aurora Place, will welcome Edward Little, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern Indiana, at 9:30 a.m. Sunday for his annual visit. Brunch follows.

Trinity English Lutheran Church, 405 W. Wayne St., will host the “Seeds of Faith” fest today and Sunday. The event includes tours, entertainment and a dedication service with James R. Taize services

Crescent Avenue United Methodist Church, 1232 Crescent Ave., will have a Taize meditation and worship service at 5 p.m. Sunday.

Victory Noll Center, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington, will hold a free Taize prayer service at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

New weekly service

First Assembly of God, 1400 W. Washington Center Road, will offer a traditional worship service at 9:15 a.m. Sundays beginning Sunday.

Women’s events

Church Women United of Fort Wayne and Allen County

will host an 46th annual interfaith luncheon with music by Betty Okeson, Paul Kendall, Vanessa Givands and Norm and Ronnie Greenburg on Monday at Ceruti’s, 6601 Innovation Blvd. Cost is $12 and reservations are required; call 260-710-7593.
