Denali was hoping to find something in his bag of Puppy Chow. Unfortunately, nothing was left.

Dog's out of the bag

It's safe to say Denali hasn't been our favorite canine of recent. Somehow, despite his antics, we still manage to love him. (You've seen his face - it's impossible to hate him all the time.)

And days like today make it so much easier to love him.

In a mid-afternoon cleaning stint, I decided to dump the half-cup of puppy chow that was left in the 20-pound bag into Denali's bowl. He would have a mid-afternoon snack, and I could throw away the bag. Except that I didn't throw away the bag. I got distracted, and the bag was left lying behind his crate. Hours later, I was checking my e-mail and happened to turn around. There Denali stood, shoulders deep inside the bag. I guess he was hoping to find one last morsel or lick the crumbs.

It. Was. Hilarious.

So hilarious, in fact, that I did what any good dog owner would do: I grabbed my camera. You know, to remind myself of the good days.
