The blue monster had no chance against Denali.

Love hurts

It never seems to fail. Every time I wander into Goodwill to browse for books or board games, I walk out with three or four stuffed animals. No, I don't have one of those weird hammocks full of teddy bears nor do I collect Beanie Babies. I snatch up the inexpensive toys with one boy in mind.

I know, I know. There could be a human boy who would love that animal just as much as Denali does, and he wouldn't rip it to shreds. In my mind, though, a child (or adult, let's be honest) has already given that toy a lot of love. The boy, if young enough, might have even chewed on it a little. It's only fair that Denali gets a little chew action, too.

And for $3, I walked out with four stuffed toys (this weekend is 50 percent off everything!) - which is not even half of what one dog toy would have cost. A toy that would have met the same fate as the $1 blue monster: ending up as cotton stuffing strewn all over my living room.
