Adams County announced Thursday it now has doses of the H1N1 vaccine available. County officials will distribute doses of the injection vaccine and the nasal spray to area health care providers including the Medicaid clinic in Decatur.
Residents who are among the targeted populations and are interested in receiving the vaccine should contact their doctor's office for more information.
The nasal-spray vaccine is recommended for healthy people ages 2 to 49 who are not pregnant.
The injection version is recommended for pregnant women and adults with chronic health conditions.
Other target groups include caregivers of infants younger than 6 months and health care or emergency medical staff.
