Some guys want their jobs

Klempa and Schrock have K's up two

Conventional wisdom suggested that Tomas Klempa and Kaleigh Schrock were on the hot seat. With the Komets having re-signed Sean O'Connor before the game, the Komets are going to have to cut somebody and some salary to make room before he gets in the lineup next weekend.

Klempa and Schrock are pleading their cases on the ice tonight to keep their jobs, though. Both have scored as the Komets lead the Bloomington PrairieThunder 2-0, in front of a sellout crowd of 10,511 at Memorial Coliseum after two periods.

Both of them capitalized on turnovers deep in the Bloomington zone. The Komets have also particpated in three fights in the game. Dropping the gloves were Keith Rodger, Brad MacMillan and Blair Stayzer.

Still, this game is taking forever. The third period won't start until around 10:30 p.m.
