Fort Wayne’s careful financial planning has put it in a position for growth and success, according to its chief executive.Fall property taxes are due Nov. 10 in Allen County.
The county treasurer's office said Monday that payments must be in the office or postmarked by that date to avoid a penalty.
Several payment methods are available:
- Mail to: Allen County Treasurer, P.O .Box 2540, Fort Wayne, IN 46801
- Local banks: Property taxes may be made at Allen County banks listed on the back of tax bills. You must have your tax statement when paying at a bank.
- Treasurer's office: The office is in Room 104 of the City-County Building in Fort Wayne. The entire statement is needed when paying in person. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, with extended hours from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the due date.
- Treasurer's office deposit box: It is available from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays.
- Drop box: Taxpayers can deposit their tax payment in the night depository for the clerk's office and treasurer's office on Main Street next to the Allen County Courthouse.
