A Fort Wayne man faces preliminary felony charges after police say he bound and raped a woman, according to Allen Superior Court records filed Monday
Daniel Ridley, 32, of the 3000 block of Warsaw Street, was arrested Sunday on charges of rape, criminal deviate conduct, strangulation, domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of a crime.
He was being held in lieu of $24,000 bail.
Police say Ridley accused a female acquaintance of being intimate with another person. Ridley then ripped the womans clothing off, hit her in the head and choked her repeatedly, court records state.
The woman told police Ridley then bound her legs with an orange electrical cord, raped her and threatened to kill her, documents state.
Six people were arrested Sunday after police searched two LaGrange County homes and found methamphetamine inside, according to LaGrange County sheriffs deputies.
Both raids were at LaGrange homes. At the first home, at 410 S. Detroit St., police found meth, marijuana, prescription drugs and cash. Deputies also received a tip regarding a second drug home. That home at 216 E. Spring St., Apt. 3, was raided and inside police found meth, three discarded meth labs, marijuana and cash, deputies said.
Mellisa Case, 25, of Wabash; Kristine Caudill, 27, of Howe; Orvan Lambright, 27, of LaGrange; and Ligonier residents Brandon Wicker, 28; Robert Patrick, 40; Brandon Watts, 20, all face various charges, including possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of marijuana.
LaGrange city police and IMAGE Drug Task Force officers helped in the raids.
