Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis said he will likely not have running back Armando Allen dress for Saturday's game against Navy.
Allen has been dealing with a nagging ankle injury this season, and he did not play last weekend against Washington State in San Antonio.
Weis said he could have Allen dress in case he felt he needed to use the junior back, but on Thursday, the coach was leaning towards not dressing Allen.
Right guard Trevor Robinson (ankle) will dress for the game, but Weis said the sophomore would only be used if he was really needed. Senior Dan Wegner, who started at center last season, is slated to start at right guard against Navy.
Defensive end Kapron Lewis-Moore has suffered no lingering affects from injuring his ankle against Washington State, Weis said.
"He didn't miss a beat. He will start and is full go," Weis said.
As far as quarterback Jimmy Clausen's toe, Weis laughed a little when he was asked about Clausen saying his toe was hurting him Wednesday.
"Jimmy's fine," Weis said. "He moved around very, very well today. He's not going to run a 4.5 40 on Saturday either, but he will be fine to run the operation."
Weis said he will be changing punters with senior Eric Maust taking over for freshman Ben Turk. Weis said Maust performed better in practice this week.
