Center cleared by NCAA

Freshman Bawa Muniru has been cleared to play for Indiana by the NCAA Clearinghouse, the school confirmed Thursday.

Muniru has practiced with the team since arriving, awaiting word on his eligibility. The 7-foot-0 center did not play in Wednesday's exhibition game against Grace.

Muniru was rated No. 111 in the Class of 2009 by Rivals.com. He was ranked the 14th-best center by Rivals.com and No. 32 by Scout.com.
