It’s available for download for $1.29 at iTunes, and EMI Music has agreed to donate proceeds to the fund through December.

Singer dropped

Oprah Winfrey is removing gospel singer BeBe Winans from her show’s “karaoke challenge” until charges against him for allegedly pushing his ex-wife to the ground are resolved.

Winans appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” last week and was seen in promos for future appearances. Now he’ll be cut out of the segment, Winfrey spokesman Don Halcombe said.

Winfrey was criticized by bloggers this week for including Winans after she had taken a stand against domestic violence this year. She did a show on the topic when singer Chris Brown assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna.

Winans is charged with misdemeanor domestic assault after he and his ex-wife allegedly argued about their kids. His court date is Jan. 20.

No Doubt not game

No Doubt sued a video game maker for putting words in band members’ mouths. The band sued Activision Publishing Inc. over a feature in the new “Band Hero” game that allows players to control virtual band members and have them sing other artists’ songs.

The lawsuit claims a feature allows players to have singer Gwen Stefani perform suggestive lyrics from the Rolling Stones’ hit “Honky Tonk Woman.” The suit also notes a virtual version of bassist Tony Kanal can be made to sing his band’s hit “Just a Girl,” but with Stefani’s voice.

The game, an offshoot of the popular “Guitar Hero” series, went on sale Tuesday.

The company said that it engaged in extensive negotiations with No Doubt’s management and have a valid written agreement for their participation in “Band Hero.”
